Chipotle opened its first restaurant in Raleigh, NC in 2007. I had already tried Chipotle in Las Vegas after reading about it for a couple of years.
I have some food allergies, wheat, milk (whey), and refined sugar, and Chipotle gives me a way to eat "food with integrity" that I'm not allergic to and that's as healthy as any restaurant out there.
I've been eating Chipotle six days a week for the past 11 years. Today, I'll have burrito bowl number 3,101. Since I've been eating Chipotle my doctor says I have the best "blood numbers" she's ever seen and to "keep doing what you're doing."
I've lost 70 pounds over the past 17 years and 40 since I've been eating Chipotle. I work out six or seven days a week and have a green/fruit smoothie for breakfast and dinner. Chipotle is my "big" meal of the day. By this point, my family, friends, and business associates know I eat at Chipotle every day except Sunday when I have lunch with my dad (it's too spicy for him) and they understand my desire to eat healthily and stay allergy free.
I have NEVER gotten sick from Chipotle and I eat there as much as anyone, except maybe their employees.
I appreciate Joe Stupp listening to my suggestions for how certain restaurants can improve and my thoughts on the menu. I wish he'd get me a job doing consumer insights work for them as I love traveling and trying different restaurants. Anytime I have a business trip planned, once I know where I'll be staying, I find out where the nearest Chipotle is and make plans to visit.
I appreciate Chipotle's dedication to serving food with integrity and helping me stay healthy and in shape. I know I'm not their target demographic (59-year-old), their food has served me well for the past 11 years and I look forward to many more.
Food with integrity rocks!
