I feel honoured to have worked with Tom. His good humour, kindness of spirit and tremendous intellect will be missed every day.
He was a true gentleman, incredibly humble and the most interesting person I have ever met…in fact, I often left our conversations feeling that my life was rather dull in comparison!
When I talking about Tom this week, I was reminded of this poem.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow,
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I do not die.

Tom’s incredible legacy will live on through everything he has achieved, and with all of us as we continue what he started.

I feel proud to have known him. I can only imagine the pain his family are feeling, so I send my love and condolences to Cindy and the rest of Tom’s family.
