It is with sincere gratitude to God that I reminisce on the blessing of having crossed paths with you at Nigeria Customs Service. I also pridefully recall how you were the first female to ascend the Top position of Assistant Comptroller General that you held before you retired.You were an inspiration and held the aura of your confidence that was hard to shake off.
Although you were well ahead of me in rank and quite influential in the organisation's affairs, you were a well-respected and intelligent officer who diligently performed her job duties and mixed freely with all the cadres.You were reputed to always appear smart and impeccable in your uniform,and you never retreated from enjoining fellow officers to emulate the set standard.
As work would have it,towards the end of my tenure at the service i was afforded the opportunity of moving closer to you through two of our common friends and then i realized that you are a God-fearing woman who set prayer at the center of her life’s affairs which i found to be one of the secrets of your success.Thrice in a week we all assembled at a Praying Group praying fervently to God Almighty.
You’re a prayer warrior!
You notably provided succour to all and sundry in dire need of it.This deepened our respect for you all the more.
When my wife Olayinka turns 60,that was celebrated outside the country,you surprised me and my wife by attending in the company of four of your siblings.We were overwhelmed by this your generosity and kindness.
We pray that as you celebrate this birthday,may your life continue to align with God’s will,filling you with immeasurable blessings. You will live the rest of your years in absolute bliss and peace.God will surround you with walls of salvation and cover you with His righteousness.
I raise a hearty cheers to many many more years in overflowing joy and superlative upliftment.
