It was Ali's kindness and consideration that brought us to the U of L. After we arrived, he was so thoughtful in helping me begin my career as an academic. We truly felt welcomed and valued with Ali serving as Dean. He will be deeply missed--I hope knowing how many lives he has touched will be a source of comfort. ”
