Thank you to North East Ambulance Service staff

North East Ambulance Service staff and volunteers touch the lives of thousands of lives every year, making a real difference every day.
In the last year alone they:
- answered over 1 million emergency 999 and NHS111 calls
- responded to almost 300,00 incidents that resulted in a patient being taken to hospital
- treated and discharged 24,000 patients with telephone advice
- treated and discharged 92,141 patients at home
- completed 717,315 patient transport journeys
- volunteered more than 195,000 hours
Despite receiving 793 appreciations so far this year, much of our work goes on behind the scenes.
And this work doesn’t stop over Christmas, as they continue to work alongside emergency service and NHS colleagues throughout the region around the clock to keep the North East public safe.
This is our opportunity to say a small thank you to the people who answer your 999 and NHS111 calls, who dispatch our crews, who come to treat you and/or take you to hospital, who make sure you get to your hospital appointments, who keep our vehicles on the road and the back office staff who support the frontline.
Please feel free to leave a comment below to add your appreciation.

Would like to wish all my colleagues a Merry Christmas, hope you manage to grab a couple of hours with your loved ones. It’s not an easy time to work the festive period (Im sitting this one out on maternity) so stay safe and keep doing the amazing job you always do xx

To all my fellow colleagues in NEAS and everyone involved in the NHS. I wish you all a fantastic Christmas and a very happy New Year.
Love and wishes, Big Rodge

Having worked for NEAS for almost 22 years I understand how hard it it for the frontline staff to do their jobs and just how busy they are. The Ambulance Service is a well oiled machine with support and control room staff also providing a vital service to make sure the patients get the treatment they need.
Stay safe out there over the Christmas and New Year and enjoy your family time in between when you can.
THANK YOU!

I would love to thank ALL of the North East Ambulance Service staff, including those in control of distributing the abundances and deciding on call priority, for all the hard work they do. The job can be challenging especially when dealing with patient deaths. Keep up the extremely hard work. It is much appreciated by all!

I’d like to send my special appreciation to all the 111 and dispatch staff who often receive unwarranted criticism. I have seen first hand how hard they work. They are have to work around the clock to answer calls, well done guys!

Happy Christmas to all staff of the emergency services. Another day for you while we all celebrate with our friends and family. Keep up the good work

Merry Christmas to all NEAS staff including my fellow ACS Volunteers
lets hope 2018 is a awesome year for us all
